Les Malta Guinness Fun Games sont un ensemble d’activités récréatives qui visent principalement les jeunes de 15 ans et plus et a pour objectif de les regrouper sur nos plages afin de pratiquer une activité saine dans la bonne humeur et l'esprit d'équipe.

Richarno Colin receives Rs 60,000 from sponsor Phoenix Beverages Limited

Phoenix Beverages Limited has yet again demonstrated its conviction in the young Mauritian talents by granting a podium bonus of Rs 60,000 to the pugilist, Richarno Colin, who scooped a gold medal at the recent Jeux de la Francophonie in Beirut. This fund entails to finance Richarno Colin’s training courses, overseas travel for boxing contest, sport equipments, and medical check-ups.

Through this sponsorship,  PBL in fact inspires the victorious boxer to be on the podium for the London Olympics that will be held in 2012 and also to reach the highest stand each time he participates in a tournament.

PBL has contributed more than Rs 240, 000 this year to support the young boxer.

PBL sponsors the Big Game Fishing Competition

The Phoenix Beverages Ltd has once again shown its passion for promoting sports and also its willingness in placing Mauritius on the world map for international competitions by sponsoring this year’s national competition of the Blue Marlin Big Game fishing, which will be held on December 20, 2009 at Black River.

Le Mornes Angler’s Club, organiser of the sporting event, expects a good turnout that will group around 35 boats and 150 fishermen.

The winner, of the eagerly awaited event by big game fishing lovers, will participate in the 2010 edition of the South Indian Ocean Billfish competition (SIOBC), whereby the admission fee of Rs 100 000 will be sponsored by the Phoenix Beverages Ltd.

The FIFA World Cup Trophy in Mauritius

The real solid-gold FIFA World Cup Trophy landed in Mauritius on Monday 23rd of November under tight security. The highly coveted trophy was then showcased during a VIP cocktail, held at Four Points by Sheraton Hotel. It was indeed a moment of great emotion, when the Head of State, the President of the Republic of Mauritius, Sir Aneerood Jugnauth brandished the 6.175kg trophy.

To mark this once-in-a-lifetime event, PBL and Coca-Cola organised fan experience activities and ticket holders were invited to take a souvenir picture with the exclusive trophy, which was displayed at the  Swami Vivekananda International Convention Centre, in Pailles. Fans had the opportunity to watch a 3D movie on History of Football.
